American Express has earned the No. 17 ranking, on the 2023 Axios Harris Corporate Reputation Rankings – jumping 29 spots from last year. The poll is considered one of the most trusted frameworks for measuring corporate reputation in the U.S.
The poll rates 100 companies on topics that are top of mind for consumers. American Express’ highest scores were in the categories of ethics, growth, vision, trajectory and character this year.
The ranking is a recognition of American Express’ powerful backing promise to our colleagues and customers, and what our brand stands for - delivering the world’s best customer experience and serving them with the highest level of integrity.
This year’s Axios Harris Poll 100 is based on a survey of 16,310 people in a nationally representative sample conducted March 13-28, 2023. The two-step process starts fresh each year by surveying the public's top-of-mind awareness of companies that either excel or falter in society. Based on those results, a list of 100 “most visible companies” are then ranked by a second group of respondents on the Harris Poll reputation quotient (RQ) framework to arrive at the ranking.
