The Yurt Villages

This winter, American Express and Resy are introducing The Yurt Villages, a new covered, heated outdoor experience available exclusively for American Express Card Members. The collection of custom-designed tents will serve as miniature private dining rooms in a range of sizes holding four to six people. The Yurt Villages will be popping up at these 13 outstanding restaurants throughout the U.S. starting in early December and rolling out through February 2021:

Each restaurant will bring its own unique design and culinary offerings to its yurt dining experiences: from a prix fixe menu highlighting French tradition in New Orleans at Bywater American Bistro, and a seasonal Napa Valley-inspired prix fixe menu at The Charter Oak, to a cozy Pacific Northwest-inspired yurt design at Canlis in Seattle, and graffiti art installations at Crown Shy in New York City.

Platinum Card and Centurion Members will have 48-hour early access to reservations starting at 11 a.m. EST on November 16 through, as well as receive access to special on-site perks when they dine, from bottled cocktails and sweet treats, to an additional exclusive course with their menu or VIP tour. Reservations will become available to all American Express Card Members on Resy starting November 18.

Amex Winter Patios:

American Express and Resy are also teaming up with Major Food Group to bring the Amex Winter Patios to two of the hospitality group’s top New York City restaurants: Carbone and Sadelle’s. American Express and Major Food Group have worked together to design these custom and branded spaces that will be covered and heated for diners to enjoy their meal in comfort. The Amex Winter Patios are exclusively available to American Express Card Members and bookable only through Resy starting on November 20.

As the health, safety and comfort of diners and restaurant personnel alike remains a top priority for American Express and Resy, all restaurants with Yurt dining spaces and Amex Winter Patios will be required to abide by local health and safety guidelines including requiring all staff to face coverings, ensuring ventilation within the spaces, limiting tables to 4-6 guests at a time, practicing elevated cleaning and sanitation protocols, and more.

These new winter outdoor dining experiences and at-home offerings build on Resy and American Express’ ongoing innovations in dining experiences, including sold-out events such as The Resy Drive Thru, Resy’s The Classics Remix, virtual cooking classes with Chefs, including Nancy Silverton, Nina Compton, Michael Solomonov, and more. Exclusive Card Member experiences, as well as restaurant-curated events and offerings can be found on Resy’s brand new Events pages, which brings the best restaurant experiences happening across the Resy-verse together in one place for all diners to easily browse and book.

These collaborations with restaurants are a part of Resy and American Express’ broader support for the restaurant community as they navigate the impacts of COVID-19. Additionally, since May 2020, Resy’s Ticketing tool has generated over $2.3 million in incremental sales for restaurants eager to diversify beyond dine-in. Restaurants can utilize a suite of tools on Resy to bring to life one of kind of culinary experiences for their diners, including outdoor dining experiences, take out and more, and seamlessly ticket them through Resy, without commissions or Resy fees. Heading into the winter months, Resy and American Express will continue to roll out tools and programs to support restaurants during this time and beyond.
