Uralsib Bank and American Express today
announced that Uralsib Bank will become an American Express card-issuing partner
in Russia. The new credit cards will be designed to meet the requirements of
Uralsib Bank’s customers and carry a range of benefits traditionally associated
with the American Express brand. The cards will be issued in Russian Rouble,
Euro and U.S. Dollar denominations.
“We will issue the first American Express-branded cards to our clients in the beginning of 2013,” said Ilya Filatov, Deputy CEO of Uralsib Bank. “Based on American Express’ extensive experience with premium credit cards, we plan to offer our clients innovative card products featuring first-class services and new benefits, which will extend our existing card product line and allow us to attract new customers.”

Under the partnership agreement, Uralsib Bank will issue American Express-branded cards and will be responsible for customer service for these products in Russia.
