American Express Company has been named to the 2010 list of “100 Best Places to Work in Information Technology (IT)” by Computerworld – ranking 18 on the list of 100 companies. Computerworld compiled the list from the results of its survey developed to measure companies against key categories including diversity, career development, retention, benefits and training.
“I believe that this recognition acknowledges the work we've done globally to build an environment in which our Technologies employees feel they can thrive and grow through challenging projects, supportive programs and benefits that help them balance their professional and personal lives,” said Steve Squeri, group president, Global Services and chief information officer at American Express.
Computerworld highlighted two American Express Technologies (AET) programs in particular – AET Excellence, an annual recognition program designed to showcase the accomplishments of the organization's highest performers, who consistently achieve outstanding results and demonstrate exceptional leadership, and the AET Retiree Network, a program established to help retain knowledge, expertise and experience, as well as to help employees transition from full-time work to active retirement.
This is the 17th consecutive year Computerworld has conducted this survey to identify the best places to work for IT professionals. See full details on this year's list of the best places to work for IT professionals online as well as the American Express employer profile online.
